ELLENSBURG RODEO HALL OF FAME

Brazile, MacRae, and Boots of Fame!

2012 is a banner year for the Ellensburg Rodeo Hall of Fame (ERHOF). Indeed, it is the most important time since our 1997 founding. Trevor Brazile and Dr. Ken MacRae will be inducted into the Ellensburg Rodeo Hall of Fame and the Induction banquet will also spotlight ERHOF’s Permanent Museum Fundraiser with a “Boots of Fame” auction. The twenty-five boots are three-foot high and decorated by local artists. Generous sponsors have already paid $1000 apiece for them, and they will be auctioned to add even more revenue to ERHOF’s Museum Fund.

Here is a calendar of our many 2012 Ellensburg Rodeo Hall of Fame activities:

July: Distribution of the Poster of the Ellensburg Rodeo Royal Court, an annual service facilitated by ERHOF.

August: Trevor Brazile’s and Dr. Ken MacRae’s Induction biographies will appear as feature articles in the Ellensburg Daily Record.

August 4: Annual Hall of Fame Golf Tournament, jointly sponsored with the Ellensburg Rodeo Board at Quincy. Check at the Ellensburg Rodeo Ticket Office for info and registration.

August 29: Hall of Fame volunteers will help staff the Repp Weststar Ranch Roping with proceeds going to ERHOF.

August 30: ERHOF Induction and Boots of Fame Auction at Central Washington University’s Student Union Recreation Center, 6-9:30 pm. Tickets are available at the Ellensburg Rodeo Ticket Office while they last.

August 31-September 3: The 90^th Annual Ellensburg Rodeo Weekend will include Hall of Fame Inductees in the Rodeo Parade, their introduction at each of the four performances, a feature article in the Rodeo Program, and a Hall of Fame display in our Western Village Headquarters at the west entrance to the rodeo grounds.
